How Long Can Corgis Be Left Alone?

Corgis can be left alone for up to eight hours. While well-trained adults can tolerate being left alone occasionally, corgis are a sociable breed who crave the companionship of their owners.

If they’re regularly left for long periods there’s a risk of separation anxiety developing. This can manifest as excessive barking and destructive behavior.

If you work long hours, or travel regularly, and need a pet that can be left alone for long periods, a corgi may not be the best breed to choose.
