Pomeranians can run as fast as 12mph (19kmph). That is incredibly fast for how tiny poms are.
As Pomeranians are descended from sled dogs in Iceland and Lapland, running is in their nature. They’ll often run at top speed for short periods, and take quick breaks before setting off again. And if they can’t run outside, they’ll race wildly around the house, running in circles around the furniture or any humans who happen to be around.
