Do blue heelers shed a lot?

No, blue heelers do not shed a lot. With their short hair, they don’t need much grooming beyond an occasional brushing to keep their coat clean and odor-free. If it’s been in a muddy or dusty area, it’s probably enough to wipe a blue heeler down with a damp cloth

While blue heelers don’t shed all year round,  once or twice a year it will ‘blow’ its coat. At these times, regular brushing and perhaps a bath in warm water will reduce the amount of hair being shed around the house.

If you start bathing from an early age and provide plenty of treats as a reward for good behavior, your blue heeler will soon learn to accept it as part of normal life.
